The koauau is one of the most recognised taonga pūoro of Aotearoa. Its intimate voice is capable of expressing a wide range of emotion, from gentle reflection to powerful lament.
Each koauau is individually crafted and voiced to ensure clear tone and playability. The natural qualities of the material influence the final sound and character of every instrument.
Commissions are made to order and require a 6 week lead time.
Listed price will be automatically reduced by 50% at checkout to allow payment of non-refundable deposit which confirms your commission and reserves your space on production list. Remaining 50% due on completion and before taonga is shipped. This will be invoiced separately.
