The putorino occupies a unique place within the taonga puoro whānau. Often described as having both male and female voices, it is capable of producing a rich range of sounds, from flute-like tones to trumpet-like calls.
Each putorino is carefully crafted and tuned to ensure a responsive and versatile instrument. Particular attention is given to airflow, balance, and voice throughout the making process.
Commissions are made to order and require a 6 week lead time.
Listed price will be automatically reduced by 50% at checkout to allow payment of non-refundable deposit which confirms your commission and reserves your space on production list. Remaining 50% due on completion and before taonga is shipped. This will be invoiced separately.
